About Me

I am a retired school teacher living in Waco, Texas, located in the heart of central Texas. I have been involved with Shih Tzus for 4 years. I began with a female who was supposed to be my first show dog. Unfortunately, she had more faults than she did good traits. She remains my "first'" Shih Tzu and is top dog in the house.

I obtained my first show dog in May, 2006 and proceeded to show her in conformation. She finished her championship in May, 2007 with handler, Mandy Carlson.

I am a member of the CEN-TEX Kennel Club and the Trinity Valley Shih Tzu Club where I serve as a board member.

I am an avid reader and am very interested in genetics. Before breeding my first litter, I did a great deal of research and reading on breeding, raising puppies, and genetics of canines. I have attended a genetic workshop sponsored by AKC. I also seek advice concerning the breed from seasoned mentors.
